Mother's Day Flowers

Kindergartners studied flower parts such as the pistil, anthers, stamen, stem, and leaves and discussed how fruit comes from seeds within the pistils. We also examined the art of Georgia O' Keefe and her "zoomed in" enlarged flowers. We framed the finished paintings on 12 x 18 inch colored construction paper and glued a Mother's day poem to the back. I hope all the mothers feel blessed by these beautiful creations.
